2021 Infantry Competition ends as the Armed Forces concludes the event

Doha: H E Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, and Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad Al Nabit, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, attended the 2021 Infantry Competition. The 35th edition of the competition was concluded by the Armed Forces.

13 units from the Qatari Armed Forces participated in the Infantry Competition. In this year’s competition, the General Command Forces won first place, followed by the Center of Military Music and Parades. The Military Police came in third place.

In his speech at the event, Major General Salem Fahd Al Ahbabi, the Commander of the centre of military music and parades, expressed his appreciation to the commanders of different units as well as coaches and individual participants for their support and cooperation. The event reflected this year’s sense of unity and strengthened the sense of solidarity, he added.
