4 newcomers to the top positions – Switch dominates as always
There are currently four recently released games in the Japanese software charts. In terms of hardware placements, we still see the Nintendo Switch at the top.
The Japanese hardware and software charts from last week were released today by Famitsu. Here we see a total of four new releases that have made themselves comfortable in the front seats. These include “Mario Party Superstars”, “Super Robot Wars 30” and “Project Zero: Priestess of Black Water”.
The new “Mario Party” is a best off of the first three N64 offshoots that came onto the market between 1998 and 2000. The Switch game got off to a successful start with over 163,000 units sold.
Super Robot Wars 30 is a tactical role-playing game that was released for both Nintendo Switch and PS4. With around 10,000 more sales, the Switch version is quite a bit more popular.
In the remake of “Project Zero: Priestess of Black Water”, the PS4 version prevailed. With 22,000 units sold, it is just ahead of the Switch version, which has 2,000 fewer sales. In addition, with the exception of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles”, only Switch games are in the top 10.
With console sales, as usual, there are no surprises. The Nintendo Switch has always been in first place, currently with almost 75,000 sales. Behind is the PS5 with 24,000 copies sold. The numbers of the Xbox Series X / S and the obsolete PS4 are not surprisingly manageable.
