Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers entered the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols on Thursday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
Rivers’ assistant Dan Burke will replace him temporarily, starting tonight’s road game against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center in New York.
Several 76ers players have been affected by this situation over the past two months. Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle, Tobias Harris, Danny Green, Georges Niang, Andre Drummond and Shake Milton have lost time on the court, although fortunately for the interests of the team almost all of them have already been qualified.
