770 people referred to the public prosecution for violating covid 19 precautionary measures
Doha: 770 people were referred to the prosecution on Sunday for violating the Covid 19 precautionary and preventative measures.
In total, 659 persons were reported for not wearing masks, 100 for not keeping safe physical distances, and 11 for not having the Ehteraz app installed on their smartphones.
The limits are in keeping with the Cabinet’s decision on the pandemic. Masks are still required in public locations for all residents and citizens.
“In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the competent authorities referred several people to the Prosecution for violating Covid-19 preventive and precautionary measures in force,” said Ministry in a statement.
