More than 85 percent of people above 40 are fully vaccinated, says the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
In addition to that, 95.3% of people above age 40 have received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.Â
MoPH and it’s mass expansion of COVID 19 vaccination programme played an important role in vaccinating majority of the population in the country.
Qatar has already implemented free vaccination campaigns both for citizens and residents of the country.
In the country, more than 66 percent of people of 16 years and above have vaccinated fully, while 78.4 percent have received at least one dose of the vaccine.Â
In the case of people above 60 years of age, 93.5 percent people have vaccinated fully and 98.6 percent have received at least one dose.Â
Owing to these reasons, Qatar ranks among the top 10 countries in the world in vaccination compared to its population.
