A new passport renewal centre has opened at the Philippine Embassy in Qatar.

Doha: The Philippine Embassy in Qatar has announced the launch of the BLS International-Philippine Passport Renewal Center (PaRC), which will serve Filipino ex-pats in Qatar starting today. The embassy said Saturday night on its official Facebook page that the  “opening of the PaRC will now allow Filipinos to have the option to process the renewal of their passport at the Embassy or at the PaRC.”

“the PaRC will only cater to the simple renewal of the passport and not those requiring any changes in the biographic details of the passport holder,” it said. Today, September 26, the freshly opened centre began its operations.

“Filipino Nationals who need to renew their passports at the BLS passport renewal centre are requested to book an appointment,” the centre stated on its official website important guidelines. Following that, the applicant will receive an email confirmation with the appointment date and time.

The BLS International-Philippine Passport Renewal Center (PaRC) is located at 231 Suhaib Bin Hamad Street, Zone 23, Doha, Qatar, on the 17th floor of Al Shoumoukh Towers. Except for Qatar’s official holidays, it is open seven days a week, from Sunday to Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Philippine Embassy also stated in the same article that Qatar is the third location in the Gulf region where the Philippine government has established a PaRC to serve the needs of the Filipino community, following the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
