A warship of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces has been launched.

H E Major General (Navy) Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti, Commander of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces, launched the Qatari warship Al Abrar Fuwairit (type LCT80) in Istanbul, Turkey, yesterday, joined by Admiral Adnan Özbal, Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces.

Brigadier General Mohammed Rashid Al Awami, Qatar’s military attaché in Ankara, as well as senior executives from Barzan Holdings and Turkish Anadolu Shipyard Company, and a number of senior officers from both the Qatari and Turkish sides, were present at the ceremony.
