Abu Sidra Mall welcomes Lulus biggest outlet

Doha: The country’s largest retail chain, Lulu Hypermarket, inaugurated its 15th shop in Abu Sidra. The new store, which has a 24,000-square-meter retail space, has bolstered Lulu’s position in the region.

The new hypermarket is divided into two parts. Smart technology is used to make the shopping experience easier, from self-checkouts to a new system that ensures no line has more than three people in it at any given moment. The new outlet features Qatar’s biggest zero waste refill station. With this, the customers can refill reusable containers with dry goods including pasta, grains etc. 

Lulu Group Chairman and Managing Director, Yusuffali M A; Shiekh Jassim Mohamed H A Al Thani; Shiekh Hassan bin Khalid H A Al Thani, and other dignitaries, including Ambassador of India to Qatar, H E Dr Deepak Mittal; Hussain Ibrahim Alfardan; Fardan Fahad Alfardan; Group Executive Director of MBHH, Fathi Ibrahim K Aburish; Group CEO of Commercial Bank of Qatar, Joseph Abraham; Group CEO of Doha Bank, Dr Seetharaman and Director of Lulu Group International, Dr Mohamed Althaf all attended the inaugural session of the new Lulu Hypermarket.

Lulu Group Chairman and Managing Director Yusuffali M A said: “We are proud that the 215th Lulu has opened in Qatar and has already become a commercial and retail space landmark of sorts. Of course, the excitement over presenting arguably the world’s largest hypermarket is giving us all a great buzz but what we are really focused on is that we should deliver the same level of excellence in customer service and quality to our valued customers in this new hypermarket. While Lulu Hypermarket at Abu Sidra Mall may not be the largest store in the sector, it is certainly the most expansive within the group, with a high-quality retail area of 24,000 square meters, and emphasizing customer safety as an integral part of its business model.
