Ajyal Film Festival brings the curtain down today

Doha: This evening, the Ajyal Film Festival wraps up its ninth edition, which was launched on the 7th of November, under the slogan “Let’s Begin”. The closing ceremony, hosted by the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), includes a red carpet event and the announcement of the winners.
Today, at 8:30 pm at the company’s house, at Msheireb Museums, the distinguished Gikdom concert will be showing the rhythms of Ajyal this year are some classic songs from popular cartoon series, from anime to others, which have been shown since the seventies to the present day.

The Wadi Msheireb railway will host the exhibition “We Will Not Leave” until December 18. The exhibition is inspired by the experience of the Kurdish family living in the besieged Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood. It is based on the graffiti art that the Palestinians used as a symbol of steadfastness in the face of the occupier.

As an expression of their support and support for the brothers and sisters in Palestine, members of the creative community in Qatar will present, through this exhibition, a multimedia experience that expresses, visualizes and embodies the underlying beauty and influential suffering that surrounds the conditions of the Palestinian people who are facing the most heinous forms of oppression in our time.
