Doha: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), has launched Apple Pay for its customers. With Apple Pay, mobile payments are more accessible, more secure, and more convenient than ever before.
With Apple Pay, Apple users will benefit from the security and simplicity of Face ID, which authenticates payments with a touch of the side button, and Touch ID.
Apple Pay focuses on security and privacy. Apple Pay is accepted at all NFC-enabled POS devices, such as groceries, pharmacies, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, retail, and more. Apple Pay eliminates the need to manually fill out lengthy account forms or type in shipping and billing information repeatedly when shopping online.
Credit or debit card numbers are not stored on Apple devices or their servers when you use Apple Pay. The Secure Element on your device stores your Device Account Number, encrypted and securely. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
With Apple Pay, QIB customers can now pay for purchases in stores using iPhone, iPad, and Mac at POS devices. In addition, they can pay when shopping online or in apps using iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Users can continue to benefit from all of QIB’s credit and debit card rewards and benefits in stores. Apple Pay is easy to set up.
Open the QIB Mobile Banking app on iPhone, tap ‘Add to Apple Pay’, and follow the instructions. To start using Apple Pay instantly, the same card can be added to any Apple device – iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac.
