Apple’s new order deadlines cause confusion: Are they serious?

If you want an Apple product under the Christmas tree in time, you should order early. How early Apple now reveals in a new list. But we don’t really trust the roast, because not all order deadlines actually seem plausible to us.

Also this year Apple publishes a not entirely unimportant list. Under the motto “Christmas presents, just in time for the festival.” we find out by what time we should order certain Apple products so that Apple can deliver them to us on time before the holidays. Of course the deadlines only apply to Apple’s online store, but not for other dealers or the availability in Apple’s shops (source: Apple).

Confusing order deadlines for iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7

For some products it is already running out. For example, if you want a new iPad mini, you should order it on November 16 at the current time; for the new iPad from 2021 (10.2 inches) it should be on November 24. Would you prefer a new MacBook Pro with a 14- or 16-inch display? For this, Apple needs the order by December 1st. All of this seems plausible. But there are products that make us wonder.

So Apple promises us in all seriousness that we will take until December 22nd to order a new iPhone 13 or a new Apple Watch Series 7. For real? We can hardly believe it, because at the moment, for example, when ordering a new iPhone 13 Pro Max or the new Smartwatch, you have to wait a month and receive the devices only at the beginning of mid-December. How can Apple appear so confident and think that in the end an order two days before the celebration is enough?

Still unsure which iPhone 13 to take? In the video you can find a decision aid:

Is Apple wrong or is the situation massively easing?

There are two possible explanations for this: Either it is simply a mistake, or Apple expects the current delivery situation to ease in the next few weeks. Recently there were reports that the production of the iPhone 13 was intensified again. But in the end, Apple not only needs promises for such precise information, but also reliable commitments from the contract manufacturer. You also have to be able to calculate the demand very precisely in order to be able to call up such tight order deadlines.

We mean: Better not to rely on it and order early. If you take the current delivery times for the iPhone 13 as a benchmark, then you should have ordered by mid-November, at the latest by the end of November.
