Authorities refer 39 people to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks in Qatar
Doha: 39 people were referred by the competent authorities to the Public Prosecution for violating the mask requirement. On October 4th, the Ministry announced this. The measures were taken in accordance with the gradual lifting of the Covid 19 restriction in Qatar which the Ministry announced last week. It is made mandatory that all citizens and residents must wear masks where it is mandatory in Qatar.
“In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the competent authorities referred several people to the Prosecution for violating COVID19 preventive and precautionary measures in force. The competent authorities urge the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive decisions in force to protect them and others from the spread of the Coronavirus in society,” Ministry said in a statement.
