The Ministry of Education and Higher Education sets school hours

The official working hours for students have been set by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE). They start on January 30, 2022.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education said in a statement on Twitter that schools have introduced a system of mandatory 100 per cent physical attendance for all students.

Schools and kindergartens have received a circular from the ministry. The administrative and teaching staff’s working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to this circular.

Students at all grade levels are expected to stay in class until 12:30 p.m., as per the established schedule at their respective schools.

Online lessons for students who are unable to attend classes due to quarantine as a consequence of Covid-19 infection or contact with an infected person will continue, according to the ministry, as long as the outcome of the infection or contact is allowed by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).

Students’ interests and consultation between the MoEHE and the MoPH were taken into consideration, according to the ministry’s official circular.
