The Dallas Mavericks signed free agent point guard Isaiah Thomas on Wednesday, giving him another chance to play in the NBA just days after being dismissed by the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Shams Charania, many teams in the league were interested in Thomas, who in 4 meetings with the Lakers left 9.3 points per game, 2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 30.8% in shooting from the field and 22.7% in triples, numbers well below those expected by the Los Angeles high command.
