The Disciplinary Committee of the Qatar Football Association decided to ban Al-Wakra professional, Omid Ibrahimi, for two matches, with a fine of 10,000 riyals, for violent play towards the opponent.
The decision was made based on the disciplinary regulations, and based on the reports of the last Al-Wakra and Al-Shamal match, which was held within the tenth round of the Qatar Football League (QNB Stars League) for the 2021-2022 season and ended in a 1-1 draw.
Al Wakrah team occupies fifth place with 16 points from four wins, four draws and two losses, while Al Shamal team occupies ninth place with nine points from two wins, three draws and five defeats.
Al Sadd maintained its lead in the championship alone with 28 points after its victory over Al Khor by three clean points, achieving its ninth victory this season at the end of this round, six points ahead of its direct competitor Al Duhail, who fell into the trap of losing against Umm Salal with two goals to one.
Al-Wakra will play its next match in the 11th round against the leaders Al-Sadd next Thursday at the Grand Hamad Stadium in the Al-Arabi Club, while Al-Shamal will meet with Al-Rayyan on Wednesday at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium in Al-Ahly Club.
