Doha Municipality records 137 violations and closes 10 food outlets

Doha: In September, a total of 3,650 food outlets were inspected by the Health Monitoring Section of the General Monitoring Department of Doha Municipality.

Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) stated that 137 violations of Law No. 8 of 1990 for regulating foods were recorded and the municipality closed ten food outlets. 117 erring food outlets were reconciled and the remaining violators will be subjected to legal actions. The Health Monitoring Section has intensified its inspection efforts at the Pearl Qatar, Souq Waqif, and Corniche in preparation for the soccer tournament.
