EA Sports PGA Tour: Golf simulation release postponed indefinitely

After a break of several years, Electronic Arts is developing a new golf simulation that is currently being developed under the name “EA Sports PGA Tour”.

Originally, the title should see the light of day next spring. As Electronic Arts admitted in a recent statement, golf fans will have to wait a little longer than originally planned. Accordingly, “EA Sports PGA Tour” simply needs additional development time and has therefore been postponed to an unspecified date. Details of the reasons that led to the postponement of the golf simulation were not given in the statement.

A realistic golf experience is guaranteed

“EA Sports PGA Tour” is based on the official license of the PGA Tour and is currently being created by the in-house studio EA Tiburon, which has already worked on the “Tiger Woods PGA Tour” series in the past. According to official information, players can look forward to a realistic golf experience at the EA Sports PGA Tour. The Frostbite engine is used, which, according to Electronic Arts, will ensure both accurate gameplay and appealing graphics.

Too many details about the playful implementation were not mentioned. The only thing that is certain so far is that the developers are for the first time relying on scans from the air “to collect and implement millions of data points”. In addition, the players can put their skills to the test in all four major tournaments.
