Huawei has built a device with HarmonyOS that nobody expected

HarmonyOS as an operating system has so far been associated with smartphones, tablets and smartwatches. Huawei has much more to do with it and is now showing what is possible. The Chinese company is expanding its product range and now even has an e-scooter in its range. Much more could follow soon.

Huawei e-scooter runs with HarmonyOS

For Huawei, HarmonyOS is more than a smartphone operating system. It is a universal operating system that can basically run on all devices and can be heavily modified. The Chinese company is now proving this with the “Huawei Smart Selection Leqi Smart Electric Scooter”. An e-scooter that actually does equipped with the HarmonyOS operating system is.

With HarmonyOS, the e-scooter is of course connected directly to the Huawei cell phone and can be activated via it. When you approach the e-scooter, it is automatically activated. Otherwise it can be controlled via an app, can drive up to 40 km and is IP65 certified, so that it has no problems even in the rain. The electric motor in the rear wheel has a maximum output of 630 watts and can travel up to 25 km / h. That would be a bit too fast for Germany, because a maximum of 20 km / h is allowed here.

And admittedly, the e-scooter actually looks pretty good. It is robustly made, has a chic design, additional lighting and leaves a solid impression, at least on the pictures. In China, the Huawei e-scooter only costs 2,399 yuan, which is equivalent to about 328 euros. In terms of the equipment and connectivity options, that’s a fair price.

in the Video we will tell you what is allowed with e-scooters in Germany:

Is the Huawei e-scooter coming to Germany?

Even the sale in China came as a surprise and without notice. Since Huawei is currently launching many new products to compensate for the suffering smartphone business, we wouldn’t rule it out completely. The e-scooter is currently only available in China. Importing is also not worthwhile, since you are here no approval for it would get.

Huawei’s e-scooter with HarmonyOS shows, however, that the Chinese company no longer knows any limits. Everything could appear from Huawei. Xiaomi is successfully showing how it is done.
