Amazon presents Amazon Glow, a gadget designed so that children do not get bored in video calls

Next to the new Echo Show 15, a smart wall chart, Amazon presented another gadget just as strange: Amazon Glow, made especially to entertain kids during a video call.

With a vertically positioned 8-inch screen for streaming video calls, It is designed so that children do not drop out of the conversation so quickly, and they can feel inside a more real conversation.

The device includes a projector that creates a 19-inch virtual screen “Sensitive to touch”, for activities like games, art, puzzles, which gives the feeling that the other person is right there, or something like that.

But the projector does not work by magic, but has a series of special mats to play chess, for example. It can also be useful for drawing together with children with digital pencils, crayons, or spray paint. The device also works with augmented reality, by scanning life objects (such as the child’s toys) and turning it into a kind of puzzle.

Amazon will also launch a series of extensions called “Glow Bits” to complement the experience. As for parents or relatives, they can download the Amazon Glow app compatible with iOS and Android to communicate with children. As for security, parents will be able to log in and establish a list of trusted contacts who can call their children or vice versa.
