Hundreds of dollars to take the network test
“Elden Ring” is in great demand even before the launch. For the keys that grant entry to the network test, hundreds of dollars are asked for and also offered on eBay. Registered players can take part in the test phase this coming weekend.
The big network test for “Elden Ring” starts this week, during which the title is examined with the help of the community before the launch. The aim is to remove possible bugs that could affect the online modes from the game before the release of “Elden Ring”.
The first keys landed on eBay and Co
As with the PS5 consoles, many recipients of the keys sensed big business, while a number of players are apparently willing to pay large amounts to participate in the network test of “Elden Ring”.
The keys have already been offered for more than $ 350 on eBay. There are also offers that give you access if you buy it now, but make you a whole 500 dollars poorer – mind you, for a network test that only runs for a few days.
Some salespeople have been more gracious, if you can call it that. PS4 codes listed as auctions started at around $ 80. However, this is also an amount that is above the retail price of the entire game. Offers of this kind can be seen here. Numerous keys landed on the auction platform in Germany too, for example for 179 euros.
Process of the network test
The network test of “Elden Ring” will take place next weekend. The starting shot will be given on November 12th, 2021. On November 15th, 2021 the gates will be closed again. On the days mentioned, the tests take place at different times:
- Session 1: November 12th from 12pm to 3pm
- Session 2: November 13 from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.
- Session 3: November 13th from 8pm to 11pm
- Session 4: November 14th from 12pm to 3pm
- Session 5: November 15 from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.
After all: In order to be able to participate in the network test of “Elden Ring”, you need neither PlayStation Plus nor Xbox Gold. However, an internet connection is required, which is self-explanatory due to the nature of the test.
