In Kyrgyzstan, Qatar Charity gives school backpacks to orphans
Doha: In partnership with UNICEF and in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education in Kyrgyzstan, Qatar Charity (QC) implemented a school bag distribution initiative for the years 2021-2022, benefiting 7,000 students from poor families and orphans in 25 schools in Chuy Province.
According to Qatar Charity’s Kyrgyzstan office acting director Mohammed Hammam Al Samman, “this project stems from Qatar Charity’s belief that education is essential for the development process in all countries,” adding that “this project aims to provide students with educational attainment tools and help parents meet their children’s school needs.”
Qatar Charity supports 8,065 people and offers them a wide range of social services, including education, health care, cultural development, and sports. At the moment, Qatar Charity is working on 503 distinct initiatives. In diverse locations, they include the construction of health centres, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, information technology schools, and other educational institutions.
