Kyle Seager announces retirement from MLB
Third baseman and Seattle Mariners legend Kyle Seager announced his retirement from the Major Leagues on Wednesday in a letter shared by his wife Julie on Twitter.
The 34-year-old Seager spent his 11-year career with the Mariners, going to an All-Star Game and winning a Gold Glove in 2014, when he also received AL MVP votes by leaving a .268 / offensive line. .334 / .454 with 25 home runs, 96 RBIs, 27 doubles and 7 stolen bases.
The third baseman ended his time with the Mariners due to the decline in his performance and personal problems with the board, so his decision could have been subject to his divorce from the organization.
