Doha has become leading travel hub in Middle East

Recent travel data names Doha as the leading travel hub in the Middle East.
According to eTurbo News, the bulk of air tickets issued for travel via Doha between January 1 and June 30 was higher than any other countries in Middle East.
Since January 2021, five routes namely Cairo, Dammam, Dubai, Jeddah and Riyadh, to/from Doha have been reopened. This has grown traffic on other routes.
This reopening has become a considerable contribution for the visitors.
Moreover, Qatar has developed new connections with Seattle, San Francisco, and Abidjan in December 2020, January 2021 and June 2021 respectively.
The major existing routes which have shown the strongest growth compared to pre-pandemic levels (H1 2021 vs H1 2019), by total number of passenger arriving in Qatar, are:
Sao Paulo (up 137 percent) , Kiev (up by 53 percent), Dhaka ( up 29 percent) and Stockholm (up 6.7 percent.)
In addition, there are considerable increase in seat capacity between Doha and Johannesburg (up 25 percent), Male (up 21 percent), and Lahore (up 19 percent).
