LeBron James and Russell Westbrook combined for a rare statistical day in the NBA. Both players got triple-double, in the Los Angeles Lakers 132-123 victory over the Houston Rockets and they were put into club history.
According to ESPN’s statistics department, it is the third time that two Lakers teammates have hit a triple-double in the same game. Two of the three involved include LeBron James. The third duo was Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Magic Johnson in 1982.
James was selected as the most valuable player of the game, thanks to his 32 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, while Westbrook contributed 24 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
