Mike Evans was placed on the inactive list for COVID-19

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed wide receiver Mike Evans on the COVID-19 inactive list, the team announced Monday.

Evans was not in Tampa Bay’s 32-6 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 16 with a hamstring injury and will now have to deal with this pandemic situation as well.

For now, it is unknown if he will be available in the Week 17 engagement against the New York Jets.

The reigning NFL champions also got the bad news that Shaquil Barrett will miss the remainder of the regular season with a sprained anterior cruciate ligament.
