Ministry of Commerce & Industry records 12 violations at retail shops

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce & Industry conducted store inspection campaigns in Al Sadd, Fereej Bin Mahmoud, and Al Mansoura. The inspection efforts resulted in the discovery of 12 violations against different retail establishments for violating the law.

Expiring commercial licences and neglecting to write complete data on shop identifying plates were among them. These initiatives are the result of the Ministry’s desire to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations regulating the business sector, as well as the protection of consumer rights.

According to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, any failure to comply with the requirements of Law No. (5) of 2015 on Commercial, Industrial, and Similar Public Shops, and Street Vendors, as well as the Ministerial circular on automobile repair and maintenance shops in cities and commercial streets, will not be tolerated.

The MoCI is stepping up its efforts to regulate infractions and report anyone who break the law or Ministerial orders to the proper authorities. All citizens and residents were also advised to report any infractions through the Ministry.
