GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition: The new features in the graphics comparison
The “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” can now be played on consoles and PC. But how is the updated graphic doing? Videos show a comparison.
Rockstar Games has released “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” – initially in a digital version. Since yesterday it can be played on the PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Switch and PC platforms. The package for PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S will also be available as a disk version on December 7, 2017. Editions for iOS and Android will follow in 2022.
New controls and more improvements
The “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” was released with several improvements, including updated controls in the style of “GTA 5”, graphics and environment improvements such as higher-resolution textures and improved lighting and water effects. The games also offer platform-specific improvements such as 4K support with up to 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Included in the “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” are three games, including:
- Grand Theft Auto 3: The title was originally published on October 22, 2001 and laid the foundation for the approach to create 3D game worlds. In addition, the radio stations were introduced.
- Grand Theft Auto Vice City: This was intended to build on immersion, detail and humor as players were transported back to the 80s to experience Tommy Vercetti’s story of betrayal and retaliation.
- Grand Theft Auto San Andreas: The title impressed with three different cities, including the original Los Santos. In the homage to the 90s, Carl Johnson has to fight gang wars and fight corrupt cops to save his family.
