MoI refers 160 people to the Public Prosecution in Qatar

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) caught 160 people for violating the preventive and precautionary measures in force in Qatar. MoI is intensifying its efforts to fight against the Covid-19.
Ministry referred 2 persons to the Public Prosecution for not installing the Ehteraz application.
5 people were caught for not maintaining a safe physical distance and 153 for not wearing masks where it is mandatory. The competent authorities referred them to the Public Prosecution for breaking the preventive measures.

In a statement Ministry said, “In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the competent authorities referred several people to the Prosecution for violating COVID19 preventive and precautionary measures in force,”

“The competent authorities call on the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive decisions in force to protect them and others from the spread of the Coronavirus in society,” the statement added

The Ministry has referred over 1000 people to the Public Prosecution so far for violating the preventive measures against the Covid-19 in Qatar.

The MoI and Health authorities are striving hard and continuously warning the people for reducing the COvid-19 cases in Qatar. People are urged to wear masks where it is mandatory, maintain a safe physical distance and restricting the number of people in vehicles.
