Move picture freely in Word – that’s how it works
While a picture can be inserted quickly and easily in Word, it is very cumbersome to position the motif at a desired place in the text document. So it cannot simply be placed where you want in the basic setting of the text program.

How do you move a picture in Word?
If you move an image to a desired position in Word, it can happen that the text slips completely and the formatting of the document becomes unusable. In order to have more freedom when positioning the image, make the following setting:
First places the image file anywhere in the text document. Then press the right mouse button on the picture. Select the option “Text wrapping“. Activates the option “Before the text“.

Alternatively, you can find the option via the top menu bar in the section “layout“. You should go to the menu if an image cannot be moved in Word at all. You can also superimpose two or more pictures in Word or place a photo next to the text.

How do you insert a picture in Word without moving the text?
Now you can view the picture move anywhere in the document. The text parts are accordingly when inserted moved above or below the image. Alternatively, you can also set the text wrap in the menu so that the image is in the background. The writing is displayed accordingly over the motif. On the other hand, if you select the image for the foreground, the content is superimposed on the text and covers it. Ideally, you should test out the various image orientation options yourself to find out which arrangement best suits your document.
