Nico Hülkenberg sees the start of adaptation in return and hints: “There is always room for more”
Once again called upon as Sebastian Vettel tested positive for Covid 19 this week, Nico Hülkenberg is struggling to adapt to the new F1 car in Bahrain. The German, however, thinks he is on the right track and that he can grow this weekend.
Nico Hülkenberg is back in F1. With Sebastian Vettel having tested positive during the week, the German was called up at short notice.
He has already made his debut in the new cars of the category in free practice. Even with the complicated adaptation, he managed to finish the 14th and 17th on Friday.
Nico Hülkenberg explained that he talked to Vettel and prepared himself for the new cars. The experienced German’s start in Bahrain looks promising.
“I think today was a promising day for me: the work was all based on getting into the rhythm of the car. I talked to Sebastian [Vettel] yesterday, and he gave me feedback and some advice, so it’s always good to have that kind of preparation before getting into a car,” he said.
