Metro will not sustain service during Eid Al Adha holidays.

Qatar Rail informed that Metro services will remain suspended during the Eid Al Adha holidays.

QR has already suspended Metro services on Fridays between July 9 and August 13.

Now, it has decided to continue its closure during the Eid Al Adha holidays between July 21 and 24.

According to QR, an “essential system upgrade across the network” comes across which necessitated the suspension.

Doha Metro will increase the network capacity through this system upgrade.
It will allow the Metro to operate more frequent services benefiting customers in the future.

“In order to minimise the inconvenience to our customers, we have chosen dates that historically carry the fewest passengers,” said the Qatar Rail in the statement.
