Denver Nuggets coach Mike Malone entered the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols on Thursday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
Nuggets assistant David Adelman will assume the role of Malone for the duration of his absence, beginning in Thursday’s game against the Golden State Warriors.
Along with Malone, other coaches in the league are affected by this situation at the moment such as Doc Rivers of the 76ers, Frank Vogel of the Lakers, Billy Donovan of Chicago, Monty Williams of Phoenix, Chauncey Billups of Portland and Mark Daigneault of Oklahoma City.
