Public Prosecution was notified for violations. The ministry has reported thousands of persons to the Public Prosecutions for breaking the Covid-19 preventive measures across the country.
“In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the competent authorities referred several people to the Prosecution for violating COVID19 preventive and precautionary measures in force,” Ministry said in a statement.
Authorities urge the public to follow precautionary and preventive measures in place to safeguard themselves and others from the spread of Coronavirus in society, according to a statement. People have been warned repeatedly by both the MoI and health officials to take cautious steps including wearing masks and avoiding close contact with others in order to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic from spreading.
