‘Paris Saint-Germain Cup Ooredoo Qatar 2021’ at The Pearl

Doha: PSG and Ooredoo have announced the launch of the ‘Paris Saint-Germain Ooredoo Qatar Cup 2021’ on Pearl Island.

The Ooredoo Qatar 2021 Paris Saint-Germain Cup will take place at Tampa Arena, The Pearl, from 17 November to 29 November from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Commenting on the holding of this tournament, Hussain Akbar Al Baker – Executive Director of Commercial Affairs at UDC said: “We are very pleased to partner with Paris Saint-Germain to bring the Paris Saint-Germain Ooredoo Qatar Cup to The Pearl.” “Our partnership group is extremely proud, and we can’t wait to introduce the Tempa Arena to the community through our partnership.”

The Paris Saint-Germain Ooredoo Qatar Cup 2021 will be open to participants from Qatar residents aged 18 years and over. There will be 16 teams participating in the Round Robin competition. Each team will have a maximum of 5-10 players. The winning teams will be determined by the accumulation of points in team play. All teams will play at least 4 matches and the best two teams from each group will advance to the “Golden Stage”, while the last two teams from each group will advance to the “Silver Stage”.

Moza Al Mohannadi, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, Sponsorships and Strategic Media, Ooredoo, said: “This is encouraging news, especially for the community in Qatar, where sporting activities are returning to normal. Tampa Arena will be the most appropriate venue for the Paris Saint-Germain Ooredoo Qatar Cup and hopefully also the destination. A grand prize of QR 20,000 will be presented to the first-placed team immediately after the final match of the competition. The second-placed team will receive a grand prize of QR5,000.
