To attract more customers, the private clinics has decided to lower the prices of PCR tests in Qatar.
While the charges for tests were QR 300 earlier, many clinics have lowered it up to QR 200 which is 30 percent less.
As PCR tests are mandatory for those residents and expatriates travelling abroad, a rush could be seen in clinics these days.
Taking the situation as an opportunity, various clinics are up to reducing the charges of the PCR tests.Â
For PCR test, Al Shefa Polyclinic at D Ring Road is charging QR 200.
KIMS Qatar Medical Centre in Wakra is charging QR 220 and Atlas Medical Center in Barwa Village is charging QR 219.
Several other private clinics conduct the test in the range of QR 220 to QR 300. People will get their results within 24 to 36 hours. Â
As per the new travel policy of July 12, hotel quarantine is not mandatory for travellers. Experts believe that was a major reason for the rush in the clinics.
