Qatar and the United States are reviewing their bilateral military relations
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, who is presently visiting the United States of America.
Both countries’ military ties were examined during the conference, along with strategies to strengthen them and the latest regional developments. Amiri Air Force Commander Major General (Pilot) Salem Hamad Aqeel Al Nabit and other top military officers were in attendance.
They also met with H E Ronald Moultrie, the US Under Secretary of Defence for Intelligence and Security. They discussed methods to improve bilateral military ties between the two countries. Amiri Air Force Commander and a number of senior officials from Qatar’s armed forces also attended the conference.
