Qatar cinemas are packed with action flicks this week

Doha: This week, action films topped the box office in Qatar, in conjunction with their world premieres.

Among the films shown is the action movie “Thirty Minutes”, which tells the story of four families who are exposed to a very difficult test in the town of “Hartland” in the state of Michigan, USA, when a devastating hurricane forces them to cooperate together and learn the meanings and methods of survival.

Directed by Lindsay Gosling, the film stars Thora Brech, Amy Smart, Anne Hash, Paz Vega, Peter Facinelli, and Laura Spencer.

New releases include the drama “Under the Stadium Lights,” which tells the inspiring true story of a small-town high school football team that overcomes all odds to win the state championship but soon struggles through a series of shocks in the final weeks.

Directed by Todd Randall, the film, produced by Winter State Entertainment, stars Milo Gibson, Laurence Fishburne, Noel Guglimmi, Abigail Hawke and Adrian Favela.

The action movie “Over Run”, which revolves around a former soldier named (Marcus Lombardi), who must track down a mysterious suitcase, in order to save his sister and their family, directed by Josh Tezer, and starring Umit Zader, Johnny Meissner, Bruce Dern and William will also be shown.
