Doha: A shabu smuggling attempt was thwarted by the postal consignment branch of customs’ air cargo and private airports department.
Shabu/Shabo is a colloquial name for the illicit methamphetamine substance, which is widely used in areas of Asia. Customs of Qatar discovered the 581 g of shabu in the sidewalls of a box shipment carrying personal clothing, as shown in a video and photo sent on Twitter.
