The Qatar East-to-West Ultra Run will take place on December 10, the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s Qatar Sports for All Federation announced yesterday. The 16-hour race is open to both professionals and amateurs.
The marathon will begin at Sheraton park and ends at Dukhan beach. Participants have five stops to stop and rest for some time during the Qatar East-to-West Ultra Run marathon.
The marathon’s registration has been started yesterday. All the participants must meet specific requirements to participate in the marathon. It is expected that 500 competitors will participate in the 90km marathon. Participants can participate in the marathon either as an individual or a group of six members.
The contestants will also be assisted by ambulances and police vehicles under the supervision of specialized doctors. From 4:30 am until 8:30 pm, the race will be held. The first three places will receive prizes. During the last edition, Al Dosari reported that 425 people from 44 different countries attended.
Participants can register for the marathon through the Qatar Sports for All Federation, explained the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Abdullah Al Dosari during a press conference.
