The former champion’s coach, Mike winkeljohn, spoke recently with The MMA Hour and said that Holly Holm will fight again in 2021 So what several potential opponents have rejected it, the most recent being Miesha Tate.
“I’m surprised. Miesha said no. She (Miesha Tate) is ranked No. 8 or something like that, Holly is No. 2 and No. 1 (Germaine De Randamie) doesn’t want to fight her. Why are you so worried about the belt right now? She has a long way to go. I would love for Holly to fight for the title and then fight Miesha later. But Holly just wants to fight.
“The reason Holly accepted fights in 145 is that nobody wants to fight with herhonestly, behind the scenes, and some people have said it publicly. You’re talking about No. 1, you’re talking about Germaine. Germaine said, ‘I will never fight Holly again.’ I don’t know, he said something about his life threatened after the last fight or something, but whatever.
