Qatar National Library continues the “Our Children Matter” series
Doha: A session on gross and fine motor development was held today by the Qatar National Library as part of its ongoing “Our Children Matter” series, which is part of a bigger focus on childhood education and health.
The Learning Center at Qatar Foundation’s Occupational Therapist, Zeina Chamoun, led a virtual session on motor and sensory milestones in children’s development from 2 to 5 years old.
“We are looking forward to hosting this session as we understand the importance of supporting parents and educators, enabling them to potentiate their child’s motor and sensory development. Developing parental knowledge and skills at an early stage helps enlighten parents on how they can manage their children’s motor and sensory development while improving their overall wellbeing,” said Maram Al Mahmoud, the Head of the Children’s Library at Qatar National Library.
The Library’s “Our Children Matter” series supports lifelong learning through educational services. The Library is ensuring the wellbeing of the next generation by supporting the education and health of children in their early years. Children, young adults, parents and educators can take part in Library events throughout the year that supports and empower them with tools and knowledge. Â
