‘Eco-Tourism in Qatar’ launches at Doha International Book Fair in English

Doha: The English version of ‘Eco-Tourism in Qatar’ was launched yesterday at the 31st Doha International Book Fair by the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

Ahmed Hussein Al Mutawa, an environmental expert at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, wrote a book in Arabic that was released in 2019.

Engineer Farhoud Hadi Al-Hajri, director of public relations at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, spoke at the occasion.

Al Hajri, speaking at the ceremony, emphasized the importance of the book and its role in creating environmental consciousness. He also emphasized its role in enlightening society about Qatar’s efforts in the field of environmental preservation and sustainability, as outlined in Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

He explained that the two ministries’ participation in this year’s book fair is part of their efforts to raise awareness and foster community communication through the presentation of various books, literature, and publications produced by the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, as well as the presentation of documentary films and publications that highlight their accomplishments and the results of their work.

Ahmed Hussein Al Mutawa, for his part, discussed his book ‘Eco-Tourism in Qatar,’ emphasizing the importance that this sort of tourism plays in Qatar at all levels.

A comprehensive tourist plan has been prepared by the state to maintain pace with the economic revival and to promote Qatar as a global destination, according to the writer.

It was a fruitful discussion that touched on a lot of issues and problems related to the environment and tourism. In addition, it touched on their relationship to economic development and urban development in Qatar.
