Qatar University and Hassad Food sign a memorandum of understanding

Doha: Qatar University and Hassad Food Company have signed a memorandum of understanding for combined field training, research initiatives, and applied sciences.

Students from Qatar University will be trained in a variety of firms linked with “Hassad” and given an introduction to the importance of food security and the agricultural sector as part of a memorandum signed between the two countries.

Students will be able to gain practical experience in the sector of food and agricultural investment, from agriculture through production and manufacturing processes, as part of this collaboration.

On this occasion, Qatar University President Dr Hassan Rashid Al Derham stated that cooperation and engagement with Qatar’s major institutions is one of the university’s priorities. He commended Hassad Food Company’s outstanding achievements since its beginning, as well as the existence of Qatari youths capable of leading huge and profitable initiatives. At the same time, he stated that this agreement marks the start of a series of relationships and collaborations that will continue to grow and expand in the future.

Eng. Mohamed Badr Al Sadah, CEO of Hassad Food Company, expressed his delight at the opportunity to work with Qatar University on this vital training programme. In keeping with the firm’s strategy, which includes supporting projects and activities that boost the country’s food security efforts, the company will use it to educate younger generations on the importance of the food and agriculture industry and urge them to join it.
