Colombian star James Rodriguez has agreed to join Qatari club Al Rayyan and will leave Everton soon. At Manchester Airport on Sunday, the former Real Madrid midfielder was sighted, according to reports, on his way to Qatar for medical examinations.
Everton and Al Rayyan have yet to announce the specifics of their agreement, although James will almost certainly join the Qatari club on a season-long loan.
The Colombian international was also being pursued by Italian, Turkish, and Portuguese teams, but none of those teams could afford to pay his contract. Al Rayyan has yet to sign a contract with James Rodriguez, but the agreement between the three parties is anticipated to be finalised within the next few hours.
