Remains found in Florida park could be Brian Laundrie, family attorney says

On Wednesday, the authorities found a mochiher and a notebook they think belong to Brian Laudrie on the Carlton Reservation in North Port, Florida. With them, apparent human remainssaid FBI special agent in charge of the case, Michael McPherson.
“The probability is high, that they are Brian’s remains.“Said Laundrie’s family attorney, Steven Bertolino, to CNN.
The 23-year-old man is considered by the authorities “a person of interest in the murder of Gabby Petito”. He has not been charged for the death of his influencer and fiancée, but apparently of use two bank accounts that did not belong to you.
“It is quite sad. Can you imagine as a parent finding your child’s belongings next to the remains? That has to be heartbreaking, and I can tell you that they are heartbroken”.
The finding occurs in the exhaustive man search, to rebuild what what happened to Petito, 22, whose body was found after she traveled with her boyfriend through the western United States.
“According to the state of the remains, it may take some time to identify them officially (…) seem to have been there for a while“CNN quotes a source familiar with the case, on Wednesday’s finding. Josh Taylor, a spokesman for the North Port police, said that the discovery of the apparent remains occurred “about three to five kilometers within the Carlton Reserve, or about a 45-minute walk” from the entrance of the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.
