Schools in Qatar begins sending parent declaration forms for antigen tests

Doha: Schools in Qatar have begun distributing antigen test declaration forms to parents and guardians.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education said Yesterday that students would be permitted to enter schools only after completing a parent declaration form declaring that an antigen test was performed at home and that the findings were negative.
The declaration form contains the following information: the student’s name, the school’s name, the student’s QID, the class, the examination date and time, and the test results. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on the application form.
This weekly antigen test is being used for two weeks, according to a senior official from the Education Ministry, after which new actions may be adopted.
The official underlined that all students, whether recovered, vaccinated or unvaccinated, must take the rapid test starting in kindergarten.
Those who tested negative can still attend schools in Qatar if they bring the declaration form with them. Those who tested positive or had incorrect findings should not attend school and should go to the nearest Health Centre to follow Ministry of Public Health protocols.
