The Qatar squad for the FIFA Arab Cup has been announced

Doha: Felix Sanchez announced yesterday the full national squad for this year’s FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, set to take place starting on November 30.

When the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 takes place in Qatar, Asian champions will compete at six venues to win their first title.

Hassan Al Haydos, who missed the previous two European Qualifiers earlier this month, is also in the squad. Akram Afif, Almoez Ali, and Abdelkarim Hassan are also on the squad.

To prepare for the Arab Cup, Qatar is undergoing a ten-day training camp in Spain. Qatar is in Group A along with Bahrain, Oman, and Iraq. On November 30, they will face Bahrain at Al Bayt Stadium.

“We are on the right path. We will continue to work, and we must reach the tournament with full readiness,” the Qatar coach said.

“Participation in the European qualifiers was very useful in all respects, and in general we gained great experiences through contact with strong international teams. The level is to be fully prepared for the 2022 World Cup,” he added.

Qatar competed as a guest side during the European Qualifiers against Portugal, Serbia, Luxembourg, Republic of Ireland and Azerbaijan.
