Ozzie Guillén criticized Juan Vené for the 2022 Hall of Fame ballot
Oswaldo “Ozzie” Guillén, a former Venezuelan MLB manager, criticized Juan Vené for the names he chose on his ballot for the Hall of Fame in the 2022 process.
The former Marlins and White Sox manager singled out the journalist for choosing “a player” who admitted that he used banned substances. However, Guillén recalls, Vené himself does not give his vote to other figures of the majors who have been proven to use this type of substance.
Juan does it again. Would you rather vote for a player who admitted to substance use, but not vote for others because they used the same substance? Does Abreu or A Jones not give a vote why? The numbers have them. It doesn’t make any sense. But hey, it’s not his fault that they leave him
