Qatar’s Olympics hero, Fares Ibrahim speaks about his future

Fares Ibrahim, who gave Qatar the first gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics, expressed his pride and happiness for being able to gift the Qatari people the first Olympic gold. Upon his arrival at Doha International Airport, he said: “I dedicate this achievement to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the personal representative of His Highness the Amir, and His Excellency Sheikh Joaan. Bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and to the Qatari people.”

The first Olympic gold medal winner of Qatar in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 is preparing for achieving the same in Paris in 2024. He stressed that he will work hard to continue this journey of brilliance and achieve new milestones in the upcoming events. He also acknowledged the difficulty of the task and how he should prepare for the future for maintaining the gold in the Paris Olympics.

Fares Ibrahim was very happy when he saw his family at the airport. They received him with bright hugs and flowers after the historic achievement in the sport. People of Qatar are proud of the player himself who wrote his name in gold in the largest and most expensive Olympic tournaments.
