1749 people prosecuted for not following Covid-19 precautionary measures

Doha: A total of 1,749 people were referred to the competent prosecution for failing to comply with the preventive and precautionary measures in place in the country to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

The list of those referred to the prosecution included 898 people who didn’t wear a mask, 20 people who didn’t download the “Ehteraz” app, and 831 people who didn’t maintain the safe distance.

This action is based on the decision of the distinguished Council of Ministers and the Decree-Law No. (17) of 1990 on infectious diseases, and the preventive and precautionary measures in place in the country to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

In order to prevent the spread of the virus in society, the authorities appealed to the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive measures in place.
